I want to get a better understanding on my issue. Why do young women choose to date older men? How can we stop the chances of higher teen pregnancy when it comes to the age difference? Should it be against the law to have such big gaps in ages and if so what would be the limit? Which is worse, having a young girl date an older man or one her own age? What will happen if young women dated men their age? Should age really matter if they love each other? So who is to decide between ages? People have the right to love whomever they want to but can choosing someone older to fall in love with effect the chances of getting pregnant? Change can possibly be the way to decrease the chances of teen-age women getting pregnant.

The Story behind My Topic
Growing up all I ever heard was males only want one thing and that want only gets worse with age. Is statement true? Wiley.com says men over the age of 23 are more likely to have children with girls who are junior high age. Is it the age or is it that younger girls are naturally attracted to older men? I know many young women from the ages 13-18 that date older men. I see no connections with age and teen pregnancy rate because some teens I know who have had children the father is usually the same age or a year older. Another statistic from wiley.com states men fathered seven out of ten births for teenage women were 20 years old or older. However, does this affect the teen-age pregnancy rate? Which is more common, a young women dating older men or dating their own age?
